10. Password Hashing with Bcrypt & Salt Rounds

Overview: Protect customer credentials using one-way adaptive cryptographic hashing functions.

Concept & Syntax Guide

Plaintext passwords must never touch a database. Bcrypt generates a random salt and runs key derivation iterations (salt rounds) to make rainbow-table attacks computationally impossible. On login, bcrypt.compare verifies hashes in constant time.

Hands-On Practice Exercise

Verify Bcrypt Password Hash

Simulate password hashing and print the verification confirmation.

Target Output: Password hashed and verified successfully: true
