4. In-Depth List Operations, Extended Slicing & Aliasing

Overview: Manipulate mutable lists, avoid unintentional aliasing with list.copy(), and apply extended step slicing [::-1].

Concept & Syntax Guide

Lists are ordered, mutable sequences. When assigning b = a, both variables reference the exact same underlying memory buffer (aliasing). To create an independent copy, use a[:] or a.copy(). Slicing with syntax [start:stop:step] allows reversing lists with [::-1].

Hands-On Practice Exercise

Reverse and Filter Integer List

Given numbers = [10, 20, 30, 40, 50], reverse the sequence using slice notation and print.

Target Output: Filtered Reversed: [50, 40, 30, 20, 10]

Hint: Check syntax carefully and make sure your code contains: Filtered Reversed: [50, 40, 30, 20, 10]
